Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner John Schroer released TDOT’s annual three-year transportation program, which includes funding for nearly 200 road projects statewide.

The program features approximately $2.6 billion in infrastructure investments for 143 individual project phases on 116 projects, including highways, bridges, transit, railways, waterways and aviation projects.

“This year’s transportation plan provides for much needed infrastructure improvements and maintenance for many areas of our state,” Gov. Haslam said. “These investments result in a safe, reliable, and debt-free highway network for our citizens and are critical in our efforts to bring high quality jobs to Tennessee.”

The comprehensive program builds on 2017’s IMPROVE Act, and will finance infrastructure work in 70 of Tennessee’s 95 counties.

Revenue generated through the IMPROVE Act has provided funds towards the progress of multiple projects across Tennessee, including but not limited to:

Region 1, including the following 24 counties: Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Carter, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, Sullivan, Unicoi, Union, and Washington.

  • Campbell County, SR 63 (General Carl W. Stiner Highway) Budgeted for construction in Fiscal Year 2019.  From Lafollette Urban Boundary to Frontier Road/Woodson Lane (IA)
  • Carter County, SR 91 (W. Elk Avenue) Budgeted for construction in Fiscal Year 2019. From SR 67 (US 321) to SR 37 (US 19E)
  • Knox County, SR 115 (US 129) (Alcoa Highway) Budgeted for construction in Fiscal Year 2019. From near Woodson Drive to near Cherokee Trail Interchange (IA)
  • Washington County, I-26. Budgeted for construction in Fiscal Year 2019. Interchange at SR 354 (Exit 17) (IA)

Region 2, including the following 24 counties: Bledsoe, Bradley, Cannon, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Franklin, Grundy, Hamilton, Jackson, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Overton, Pickett, Polk, Putnam, Rhea, Sequatchie, Van Buren, Warren, and White.

  • Bradley County, SR 60. Budgeted for construction in Fiscal Year 2019. From 4-Lane North of I-75 (Westlake Drive) to Near SR 306 (1A)

  • Hamilton County, Interchange Modification of I-24.  Budgeted for construction in Fiscal Year 2019. At SR 2 (Broad Street) and SR 58 (Market Street) (1A)

Region 3, including the following 26 counties: Bedford, Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Giles, Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Lawrence, Lewis, Lincoln, Macon, Marshall, Maury, Montgomery, Moore, Perry, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Wayne, Williamson, and Wilson.

  • Davidson County, I-24. Budgeted for construction in Fiscal Year 2019. Interchange Modification at Hickory Hollow Parkway (IA)

Region 4, including the following 21 counties: Benton, Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Dyer, Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry, Lake, Lauderdale, Madison, McNairy, Obion, Shelby, Tipton, and Weakley.

  • Benton County, SR-1 (US-70) Budgeted for construction in Fiscal Year 2019. From Camden Bypass to Tennessee River
  • Henderson County, SR-459 (US-412/Lexington Bypass) Budgeted for construction in Fiscal Year 2019. From SR-20, West of Lexington to Near SR-22, South of Lexington
  • Obion County, I-69 Budgeted for construction in Fiscal Year 2019. From West of SR-21 to SR-3 (US-51) Near Mayberry Road
  • Shelby County, SR-4 (US-78/Lamar Avenue) Budgeted for right-of-way in Fiscal Year 2019. From Near Raines Road/Perkins Road Interchange to Getwell Road (SR-176)
