Smithville Elementary School – Traffic Impact Study
- Development consisted of a new elementary school with 800 students and 100 staff members
- Four (4) intersections analyzed
- 714 daily generated trips
- 346 peak hour generated trips
- Improvement recommendations included:
- Reconfiguring the schools’ arrival/dismissal traffic flows
- An offsite right-turn lane at the site access
- Construction of additional onsite drives to accommodate additional vehicle queuing
- Constructing an onsite school bus roundabout
